Have you ever thought about what could happen to sea life if you drink a bottle of water? In the articles “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson and “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox it talks about pollution and how it is bad. The articles they both do not like pollution in the ocean. On the other hand, they disagree with how it should and shouldn’t be dealt with. The articles have many similarities but also some differences. I will explain how they are alike and different.

In the articles “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson and “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox the articles are alike. One reason is, they both help the ocean. This is because in “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson it states that many people help and give her the trash that they find. Also, it effects marine life and it states in “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson that many animals die from the trash. Lastly, huge amounts of trash end up in bodies of water. I know because, in “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox it states “Or, even worse, they end up as trash on the land and in rivers, lakes, and the ocean.” Those are some of the ways the articles are similar.

In the articles “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson and “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox the articles are very different. One reason is in the story “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox it recommends and says to always recycle. On the contrary side in “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson the artist makes art out of the trash that she finds on the beach. Another reason is in “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson it says that people help by bringing her trash and recycling that they find on the beach to her to help her make the art. They also volunteer to make the art. On the other hand, it says in “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” by Catherine Clarke Fox that you should always recycle. Lastly, in “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” by Catherine Clarke Fox it states that hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil are used each year to produce plastic water bottles and that is what she is concerned about. While in “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson the main concern is that sea animals might die from the trash. Those are some of the differences in the two articles.

In the articles “Art for Ocean Animals” by Elise Jonas-Delson and “Drinking Water: Bottled or from the Tap?” By Catherine Clarke Fox the articles both explain how pollution can effect us. They have many similarities as well as differences. I think that recycling is the best, but I think what the artist is doing is a great alternative. The sea animals effected by our trash don’t deserve such a cruel fate. The animals did nothing to us, so ask your self why are we harming them with our problems. We should all ways recycle to turn old trash into new and good stuff again. It doesn’t help that 1 of every 6 bottles get recycled. A fun fact is bottles take many hundreds of years to disintegrate. Another one is that recycling one plastic bottle can save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 6 years. Thats really power full! That is why I think that the two articles are very much alike but also different at the same time.
